Mobile skips or recycling collections will be piloted in the borough
Mobile skips or recycling collections will be piloted in the borough from March, delivering on our manifesto commitment to introduce ‘pop up’ community skips in neighbourhoods as part of our plan for cleaner streets. The pilot is being implemented after Lib Dem councillors successfully called for the measure at the committee that monitors waste management issues.
Leader of the Opposition Cllr Anthony Fairclough said: “We’re delighted to see that our manifesto pledge of ‘pop up’ waste and recycling collections will be piloted, bringing bulky waste and recycling services closer to residents.”
